Annette Barnaville is a visual artist and participatory arts facilitator based in Kilkenny, Ireland.  She is a graduate of Sculpture and Expanded Practice from NCAD, Dublin where she developed a love of film.

She is greatly influenced by her encounters as a nurse, reflecting on what people feel and how those experiences can improve the lives of those around us.  Uncovering an empathic world, through an awareness of ourselves and others guides her practice.

Annette has always felt drawn to working creatively with people.  Engaging with communities through artistic workshops is deeply enriching for her.  Sharing conversations form the basis from which to begin.  Using a multi-sensory approach, collaboration with participants takes shape through making, storytelling, video mapping and writing.  Empowering participants' voices through these opportunities is important to Annette.

She recently completed a Masters in Arts and Engagement from Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork.
